One thing I really miss is being able to choose from a wide variety of different breakfast cereals. I now tend to eat the same couple of breakfast cereals all the time and it’s pretty boring. So, this week, I decided to treat myself and I bought Free From Honey Hoops at Asda.
As with most Free From cereals, they’re very expensive (£1.55 for 300g compared to £1.59 for 550g of Asda’s ‘normal’ Choco Snaps, for example). They’re also high in sugar, like so many breakfast cereals are, but they do also contain a range of vitamins etc that are important in your diet.
They tasted quite nice and I enjoyed them. They have a very strong honey flavour which I liked. I was hoping they would be a bit like Cheerios but the texture is totally different. They’re more like Kellogg’s Corn Pops – at least, how I remember them being.
Overall, I enjoyed this cereal but, at that price, they will remain a rare treat for me.
